In the panel under: Moderation, Role Links

You set up rules like "whoever gets the role Beginner also receives Role 1, Role 2 and Role 3". A rule can also have several trigger roles, and then one of them is enough: "whoever has one of the roles Gold, Silver or Bronze gets Supporter". As soon as a member gets a trigger role, whether by hand, through Auto-Role, Reaction Roles or another bot, AlphaCloud gives the linked roles too.

Roles for a limited time only#

Under For how long you can choose a duration, for example 7 days. The member then only gets the linked roles for that time:

• When it runs out, the bot takes the roles away again, even after a bot restart.
• It does not give them again on its own just because the member still has the trigger role. Only when they get a trigger role again does a new duration start.
• If Remove again is on and the member loses all trigger roles before that, the roles are gone right away.
• Time-limited roles also show up under Temporary Roles. There you can see how long they run and end them early.
• If two rules give the same role, "for good" wins over a duration, otherwise the longer duration wins.

The duration is the same for Free and Premium.

Good to know#

• Rules apply from now on. Members who already had the trigger role when you saved the rule don't get the roles after the fact. The rule takes effect as soon as someone newly gets or loses the trigger role.
• Chains work. If role A gives role B, and a second rule gives role C for B, the member ends up with A, B and C.
• Only roles below your own. When saving, the panel checks that every linked role is below your highest role. That way nobody can use a rule to give themselves a higher role than they'd be allowed to give out.
• Integration roles (bots, Server Booster) and roles above the bot role are skipped.
