The bot does not respond#

Check in this order:

1. Is the bot online? If it shows as offline in the member list, it is not your configuration.
2. Is the module enabled? Switch in the panel, and saved afterwards?
3. Can the bot send messages in the affected channel? Channel permissions override server permissions.
4. Is the bot's role high enough? For anything involving roles, this is the most common reason.

A slash command does not show up#

Almost always one of three things:

• The module is off. The bot registers many commands only when you switch it on.
• Discord still needs about a minute to deliver it.
• Your Discord client has the old state. Restart it once.

The bot cannot give a role#

The role is above the bot's role. In the server settings under Roles, drag the bot's role up, above all roles it should give out.

This also applies with Administrator: the role order beats every permission.

The bot cannot ban or rename someone#

Same cause. A bot can only edit members whose highest role is below its own. It can never rename the server owner, Discord does not allow that for any bot.

I see a message about my ad blocker#

On alphacloud.bot, in the panel, on ideas, bug reports and transcripts, Google shows visitors with an ad blocker a message asking them to allow AlphaCloud. The ads cover part of the running costs.

• On servers with Premium, the message never appears in the panel and on transcripts, and there are no ads there either.
• It is not loaded on the legal pages like privacy policy, terms and imprint.

My server is missing in the panel#

Log out once and log back in. The panel reads your server list from Discord when you log in, so a server you just joined only shows up after the next login.

After that: you need Manage Server on the server, or someone has to add you under Permissions.

My change was not applied#

Did you click Save at the bottom? As long as the bar saying "You have unsaved changes" is visible, nothing has been applied.

A DM does not arrive#

Anyone who blocks DMs from people outside their servers does not get any. That is a Discord setting of the recipient and cannot be bypassed from outside. For sanction DMs this means: the sanction still applies, only the notification does not arrive.

I reset a module by accident#

A reset is final. There is no backup and no undo. For the server structure itself, a Server Backup helps, for module settings there is no way back.

Does Premium apply to all my servers?#

No. An activation applies to one server. Your active activations are listed under Setup in Premium Details.

Who can cancel my subscription?#

Only the Discord account that paid. Even the server owner cannot manage someone else's subscription. If you can no longer access that account, use alphacloud.bot/kuendigen or support.

Why is the team list not up to date?#

It updates every 5 minutes, and at no other time. This is on purpose, see Team List.

Why do the Server Stats numbers lag behind?#

They are updated every 10 minutes, with a gap between channels. Renaming channels is one of the most strictly limited actions on Discord.

Where do I find a Discord ID?#

In Discord, turn on Developer Mode under Settings, Advanced. After that, every right click on a channel, role, user or message has a Copy ID entry.

The bot showed an error message with a UUID#

The UUID is the identifier of exactly this error in our logs. Report it with the button next to it or on bugs.alphacloud.bot, then we can trace it without asking back.
