AlphaCloud v1.10.5: Applications, a Report Form and Price Increases Only With Your Consent

Apply to our team on the new portal, report illegal content without a login, and new options for Tickets, Absences, AFK Room and Server Stats. A higher Premium price now needs your agreement.

v1.10.5 has two new pages, a change in how we handle price increases, and new options for four modules. Everything also reads properly now: panel, website, bot texts and docs are translated into all 21 languages.

Apply to the AlphaCloud team

Applying used to happen in tickets. It now has its own place at alphacloud.bot/apply. You can apply as a helper, supporter, partner manager or designer, with a short knowledge test and practice support conversations.

Two things matter to us here. An AI plays the user in those practice conversations, but it does not grade anyone: a person makes every decision. And the confidentiality agreement is filled in right on the document, with a PDF preview, and the signed copy reaches you by DM and mail. Applicants under 18 sign together with their parents, who confirm through a link in their own mail.

A report form for illegal content

On alphacloud.bot/report-content anyone can report illegal content and misuse, on a server, in a shop or on one of our pages, without a login. You get a confirmation of receipt and a reasoned decision if you leave an address. A person looks at every report.

When an automatic check refuses a bug report, an idea or a marketplace design, the message now says so and offers a review by a person.

A higher price only if you agree

This is the change we want every subscriber to know about. A higher price for a running Premium subscription now only applies if you agree to it. The announcement mail has an "Agree" link per server, and on the Premium page you can agree or decline until three days before the renewal. Without your consent the subscription simply ends at the end of its term and nothing more is charged. A lower price applies by itself.

Withdrawing and cancelling got clearer as well. The withdrawal page starts with "Withdraw from contract", and the cancellation page asks only what it needs, including when the contract should end. Purchases through Stripe are now limited to the EU, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the USA, Australia and New Zealand, for tax reasons. You choose your country before the checkout.

New options in the modules

  • Tickets: {answers.1} to {answers.5} put each form answer on its own in the opening message. Claiming can hide a ticket from the other support roles, and the opening message can show how fast your team usually answers, as {responseTime}
  • Absences: a new panel with buttons for new absence, list and cancel, in a channel of your choice and designable in the Message Builder
  • AFK Room: a new trigger, "chat inactivity only", moves members who stop writing, no matter whether they are muted
  • Server Stats: a new counter for messages in a channel, for example to show the number of vouches in a channel name

Fixes worth knowing

  • Moderation: /ban, /kick, /mute, /warn and reports compare roles in Discord's real order, so roles sharing a position no longer count as equal. The panel accepts those roles again too, which often happens after a backup restore
  • Moderation: /ban always writes the log, even when the confirmation was already closed, and /moderation roleall works on busy servers again
  • Custom Commands: a required option after an optional one no longer stops all slash commands of the server from updating
  • Anti-Nuke: when a server has reached Discord's limit of 250 roles or 500 channels, the restore stops trying the rest of that kind
  • Panel: when saving is refused, you now see the actual reason. Servers with free Premium can buy Lifetime again

We also removed the empty roadmap page. Planned and running ideas are on the ideas board, and old links lead there.
