Why We Show Ads

Last updated: 11.08.2026

AlphaCloud is free to use for every server. Advertising is one of the ways we cover the cost of running it, alongside Premium subscriptions, and it helps us keep those subscription prices as low as possible. This page explains where ads appear, where they don't, and how you can control them.

Why advertising

Running AlphaCloud (the bot, the web panel, and the sites you're using right now) costs real money: servers, databases, AI features and more. Advertising through Google AdSense is one of the ways we cover part of that cost, alongside Premium subscriptions. The more of the cost ads cover, the lower we can keep Premium prices for everyone else.

Where ads appear

Ads can appear on the website (alphacloud.bot), the web panel (panel.alphacloud.bot), ideas.alphacloud.bot, bugs.alphacloud.bot, and transcript.alphacloud.bot. Placements are kept deliberately subtle and are never mixed into the actual functionality, such as module settings, the bug/idea submission forms, or a ticket transcript's messages themselves.

Where we deliberately don't show ads

We do not show ads on login/authentication pages, on legal pages (Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Imprint, Withdrawal), or on appeals.alphacloud.bot. Appeals is where you explain why you should be unbanned, and we don't think that's an appropriate place for advertising.

Premium removes ads on transcripts

On transcript.alphacloud.bot, ads are only shown for tickets belonging to servers without an active Premium subscription. As soon as a server has Premium, ads disappear there automatically. This is checked live on every page load, not just at the time the ticket was closed.

Cookies, consent, and your choices

Google AdSense may set cookies to serve, measure, and, where consented to, personalize ads. For visitors in the EEA/UK, Google shows its own certified consent dialog before any ad-related cookies are set; this is separate from our own cookie banner for analytics. You can manage or withdraw ad personalization at any time at adssettings.google.com. Full details, including the legal basis for each type of processing, are in our Privacy Policy, sections 8 and 9.

Watching ads for free Premium

The web panel offers an additional, opt-in way to unlock 7 days of Premium for a server for free: watching about 5 minutes of rewarded video ads through Google Ad Manager, in the panel's "Free Premium" section. This is a different ad product from the Google AdSense placements described above: it is never shown automatically and only ever starts when a member explicitly opens that page and clicks to begin. It requires an ad blocker to be disabled for that page, and after each successful reward a server has to wait 7 days before doing it again.
