AlphaCloud v1.10.3: Member Reports, a Better Counting and AutoMod Inside Discord

Members can report messages to your team, Counting gets mistake rules and a leaderboard, and AutoMod now also runs as rules in Discord itself. Plus a much better AI Server Builder.

v1.10.3 is a hotfix by our versioning scheme, but three modules got noticeably bigger. Moderation now takes reports from your members, Counting finally has rules for mistakes, and AutoMod blocks messages before anyone sees them.

Member reports in the Moderation module

Members can now report with /report or by right clicking a message (Apps, Report message). Your team gets a card with the report and can take it over, warn, time out, mark it as done, reject it or block the reporter.

So that this does not turn into a new source of noise, abuse protection is built in: a cooldown, hourly and daily limits, no duplicates, and no reports against bots or your team. More in the Moderation documentation.

Counting with rules for mistakes

Until now a wrong number meant one thing. You now choose what a mistake does: reset the count, subtract a number of points, or keep the chain alive. The last two come with Premium. Whoever broke the chain can get an optional timeout.

Milestone messages can go out every 10 to 1000 numbers, the reaction emoji is yours to pick, and the reset, mistake and milestone messages can be designed in the Message Builder. There is also a leaderboard with correct numbers and mistakes per member, in the panel and with /counting leaderboard and /counting stats.

AutoMod inside Discord

The word filter, the link filter and mention spam now also run as rules in Discord's own AutoMod. Discord blocks the message before anyone sees it, even while the bot restarts. Warnings, timeouts, kicks, bans, the notice, the DM and the log still come from AlphaCloud, so your escalation stays as you set it up. This needs the "Manage Server" permission.

AutoMod also gets content rules per channel. Choose links, bot commands, embeds or media for a channel, and every message without one of them is deleted with a short notice. That is what a clips channel or a media channel needs. Threads and forum posts stay free, and you can allow replies. You get 5 channels, 25 with Premium.

For the link filter you can now name channels and categories where links are allowed. Categories also cover channels created there later. All of it is in the AutoMod documentation.

A much better AI Server Builder

The AI Server Builder had a real problem: channel permissions often did not arrive. Private areas, read only channels and verification gates now work, and channels inside a category take over its permissions instead of being visible to everyone. Roles with dangerous permissions are no longer skipped, they are created without those permissions, because a missing staff role also took all its channel permissions with it.

It also follows descriptions much better: exact names and counts, a consistent naming style, forums with tags and ping roles. It knows whether your server has Community, its boost level and its size. Generations got faster and cheaper, because small mistakes of the AI are now repaired directly. When applying a draft you decide with new switches whether the server name, the server settings, channel permissions and role permissions change.

Smaller new features

  • Tickets: a category can be set to "Only the team can close". The claim feature can be switched off, and the close button can close right away
  • AFK Room: an optional warning 1 to 5 minutes before a member is moved, as a DM or in the voice channel's text chat
  • Voice Roles: a new activity role for members in voice with neither camera nor screen sharing
  • Honeypot: a switch to delete only the message in the honeypot instead of all the member's messages from the last 24 hours, handy for RP servers
  • Role DM: "Use the longest cooldown" for members with several roles that have a cooldown

Fixes worth knowing

  • Sticky Roles: a member who left right after joining, before the bot gave their roles back, lost those roles for good, punishment roles included. They are now kept for the next join
  • AutoMod: the server ad filter never triggered. It does now
  • Anti-Nuke: the restore brings back channels whose category is gone, without a category, instead of skipping them
  • Premium: when a renewal cannot be charged, Premium ends with the paid period and comes back as soon as the payment goes through. The DM about it now comes once at the first failure and once at the last attempt instead of after every retry
  • Panel: a server the bot was removed from now says so and offers an invite instead of showing empty modules

The full list is in the changelog on our Discord. Everything is live, and you can try it in the panel.
